Artist's Description

Gyotaku (魚拓, from gyo "fish" + taku "stone impression") is the traditional Japanese method of printing fish, a practice which dates back to the mid-1800s. This form of nature printing was used by fishermen to record their catches, but has also become an art form of its own. The original snapper is printed on linen. If you order a paper print it will show the texture of the linen.

About Pam Talley

Pam Talley

"I love to take ordinary subjects and transform them into something beautiful. Realistic, yet creative, my colorful oil paintings of regional images inspire and stimulate reminiscence of fond memories and experiences. My work is fluid and ever changing as I grow along with my art. I still teach, but paint whenever I can find a free moment. My current work can be seen in Seaside at An Apartment in Paris and in Tallahassee, Florida" - Pam Pam is a native Floridian, raised in Southwest Florida and a breast cancer survivor since 2001.
